Delhi Private School, RAK bring home laurels.
It was a momentous occasion for teachers and the student community of DPS, RAK when the students of grades VI and VII brought laurels to the school by bagging three prizes in ‘InnoVibes- 2021’.
The Indian Association, Ras Al Khaimah in coordination with YMC Ras Al Khaimah organized ‘InnoVibes-2021’, an exhibition that provided students with the opportunity and the platform to showcase their creativity and critical thinking skills.
Our students, Sarvesharan Jagadeeshvharan and Nasiha Syed from grade VII bagged the first prize for their exhibit titled, ‘The Landscape of Dhayah Fort’. Previously a significant observatory for war ships entering the Persian Gulf, the fort now stands as a monumental site and a tourist spot who enjoy climbing up its 160 odd steps.
Our students Mohd. Zayan and Sinan Veed from grade VI also did us proud by bagging first position for their exhibit showcasing a ‘Sustainable City’. The students brought their vision of a sustainable city alive by designing a model of their dream city. The city where walls are painted with UV reflective paints, deflecting a lot of sunlight, thereby reducing thermal heat gain.
Finally, our budding artists Siri Jagadish and Pranav Kumar from grade VII won the second prize for their Art exhibits depicting ‘Seashell Art’ and the glorious ‘Burj Al-Arab’!
The winners were awarded with the cash prize of Dhs 1000 (first prize) and Dhs 500 (second prize) by the organizers.
Following the footsteps of her seniors, Saanvi Mishra of KG-II clinched third position at our sister organization, DPS- Sharjah in ‘Tapestry of Tales’ competition where she performed with her mother on stage.
It was indeed an incredible learning experience for our students who got the opportunity to represent their school and do us proud! Huge congratulations to all the winners!
