Tiny Tots come together to celebrate National Day
In the words of Seikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “The real wealth of the country is made up of children. It is which constitutes the real treasure’.
The tiny tots from Kindergarten of DPS, RAK got together to celebrate and commemorate the ‘Year of the 50th’ of the UAE. The program gave the students the platform to showcase their love and pride for the nation, they call home. The multipurpose hall was decorated with flag colors buntings, balloons, and streamers.
The students came dressed in traditional Arabic attires, showcasing the rich culture of the country. They pinned UAE flags, scarfs, and other accessories to soak in the spirit of National Day.
We were joined by our parent community who were elated to watch their children perform on stage. The program began with the students singing the National Anthem, ‘Ishy Biladi’ singing praises of this diverse land and praying that it lives long.
The students then danced to foot tapping Arabic music and got their parents to groove too!
The highlight of the program were the fun games planned to engage the audience. The parents came forward to answer questions and riddles and even perform tasks related to UAE. The students were delighted to watch their parents laugh and sing along.
The parents and the students also came together to represent their experience of living in the UAE on a huge chart paper. The activity tapped onto the spirit of ‘unity’ and ‘oneness’ as parents and students came forward to draw and paint together.
The chart paper by the end of the activity truly captured the melting pot culture of the UAE, varied, yet so alike!
